This is both a warning and a statement. I observe that indeed everything is falling apart. Vigilance permeates Gloria Friedmann’s work. In clay, earth, plaster, metal, feathers or electrical cables, her composite sculptures have long evoked the human figure in its complexity and question our existence in the world. A stunned observer of a tumultuous present, she offers at Transfo a journey of works as a state of mind, an anxious gaze cast upon our humanity and its future in a world in flux.
