George Dandin or the husband confused
Show · Sunday, November 29 · 16:00 · Quingey

George Dandin or the Husband Confounded is a play by Molière, less known than The Imaginary Invalid. This work is worth rediscovering for its richness and originality blending farce, comedy and even touches of tragedy. The plot follows a wealthy peasant, Dandin, who hopes to “rise above his condition” by marrying Angélique, the moneyless daughter of Baron de Sotenville, a nobleman in straits. Will he succeed? How will his new family and his wife Angélique, swept up in this “adventure,” react?
