Since 2021, the Close-Up Festival has become a major cultural meeting around city, architecture and landscape in cinema. The film follows New York in the early 1950s. Joey, seven, is in the care of his older brother Lennie while their mother plans a weekend with friends. He plays a prank by staging a gun accident, and Joey runs away with six dollars to Coney Island. The film captures their journey.
