Music · Friday, November 20 · 20:00 · Paris
La Scène du Canal, 116 Quai de Jemmapes
Manda Sira develops music at the crossroads of Manding traditions, soul, and contemporary sounds.\n\nComing from a line of Malian griots and born in French Guiana, Manda Sira Sissoko weaves in her music a link between worlds. She draws on her Manding roots to build a personal universe, open to influences from soul, blues, pop and contemporary music.\nSung in Bambara, French and English, her compositions address identity, transmission, exile, memory, love and freedom. Each piece becomes a space of encounter between heritage and modernity.
