Dwarfs are carrying a door, a lamp, a crane, and a giant duck. They are carrying a beam, an otter, a ray of sunshine, a letter, a Sunday, joy, and many other things. Each word is associated with a drawing, like in picture dictionaries—a pencil sketch or doodle that illustrates the word or plays with it to reveal its meaning and make you smile. Paul Cox, illustrator, graphic designer and scenographer, reuses the code, the rule of the picture dictionary, and twists it.
