EVA OLLIKAINEN / BEATRICE RANA
Music · Thursday, November 5 · 20:00 · Toulouse
HALLE AUX GRAINS, 1 Place Dupuy
The author of Hungarian Dances injects a bit of gypsy flair into his ambitious Piano Concerto No. 2, marking, in many respects, a notable milestone. As for Lutosławski, he chooses Polish melodies as a thread he weaves in his own way in the Orchestra Concerto. The two composers align with the repertoires favored by the invited artists for this concert: Eva Ollikainen is passionate about contemporary music, while Beatrice Rana, familiar with Brahms whom she also performs in recital, wanted to perform this piece for her first appearance with the Capitole Orchestra.
