SGANARELLE OR THE IMAGINED CHEATER / LOVE AS DOCTOR

THEATRE DU PAVE, 34 Rue Maran

Without modernizing the texts, the staging makes them resonate with our era thanks to a minimalist set design, contemporary costumes and a contagious energy of performance. Misunderstandings, jealousy, pretense, satire of medicine: the laughter is everywhere, but it also speaks to our flaws, fears and ardent loves. Carried by a young cast, this show recaptures the spirit of popular theater, where Molière's language remains clear, funny and terribly effective. An invitation to rediscover a classic that has not lost any of its sharp edge.
